MULE KICK BIO
Mule Kick brings together the rhythm section of Rick Jacobson and Keith Bakke from Seattle's highly awarded Wired! Band, Cleveland's harp player and vocalist Dan Bode, and guitarist Chester Dennis Jones, a 40 year journeyman on Seattle's scene.
Dan arrived the Pacific Northwest 2 years ago, bringing 45 years of on stage experience. His Northeast Ohio bands, The Rumble, MoKo BoVo and Lingua covered a range of rockabilly, swing, jump and blues to more experimental funk , jazz, spoken word and live improvised sound tracks to silent films. MoKo BoVo achieved regional notoriety and some airplay on a few NPR stations. Including his deep blues group, Mean Old World, in Birmingham England, Dan’s bands have released 6 albums, and he has played on a few others as guest sideman.
